Initially, the first rule is that when a your car has failed its MOT, the critical period of time for the completion of any repair and any resulting re-test is only 10 trading days following on from the original test date. This is correct so long as the vehicle or light van is mended and successively registered to acquire a re-test prior to the end of 10 working days. If all of the aforementioned has been completed, subsequently the computerised MOT test device that all MOT stations make use of is able to, at this time, permit us to register the vehicle and perform the re-test.
So, it subsequently follows that the second procedure may be that in the course of an MOT test it is more often than not true that just a few components are often re-tested very quickly whilst in contrast certain components call for much more calculated examining.
And so while we, and virtually every MOT test centre, markets and promotes FREE retests this will be, in many instances, dependant upon when the family car is presented for its MOT examination in Harrogate and following that what exactly your car failed its MOT upon.
